April 3, 2015 - Newark, DE - The Matilda's Crawfish Hockey Team is now a Three-Peat Tier II - University of Delaware Adult League Champion!!

The team completed a highly successful Winter 2014/15 Regular Season by ending as the #1 seed in the playoffs.  

After a 1st Round bye, the Crawfish convincingly beat their second round opponent, the Evil Monkeys, by a score of 6-3.  

The next round game proved to be a tougher task against Wistar.  The team fell behind 2-0, but came back to tie it up 2-2 early in the 3rd.  However, a late 3rd period "too-many men on the ice" call provided Wistar with the golden opportunity for the go-ahead goal and they capitalized making it 3-2.  The Crawfish did not give up, as they scored with 12 seconds left using the empty net extra skater tactic.  Amazingly enough, the game winning OT goal came while the team was short-handed.

The Championship Game was juast as tough against the #2 seed, Blades of Steel. A closely contested game saw a couple of lead changes including the go ahead goal by Blades a few minutes into the 3rd period.  Again, the Crawfish stuck to the game plan and got the tying goal with 6 minutes left....on to another overtime!  With about 43 second left in OT, the Crawifsh got the Championship winning goal and the team emptied the bench to swarm the ice.

The team then claimed it's 3rd Winter Season Championship Trophy in a row!
